Jaideep N. Malaviya a professional in Solar energy since 1996 is Managing Director of Malaviya Solar Energy Consultancy, Board Director of International Solar Energy Society, Germany and Founder-Secretary General of Solar Thermal Federation of India.

He has over 32 years of experience in Solar energy industry as a consultant, researcher, trainer and project developer. Has presented over 100 Indian and International Conferences. He worked as a Research Scientist at Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI), New Delhi. He was a Task Force member set up by government of India on Circular Economy in Solar panels on policy framework by Ministry of New
and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Environment and Forests and Climate Change and NITI Aayog. He is recognized by the International Solar Energy Society amongst the 250 global pioneers in research and industrial development..

Under his leadership the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy operated the National Solar Energy Helpline for 9 years that addressed to over 10,00,000 phone calls. He was Project Head of “Solar Payback” to asses potential of Solar thermal industrial
process heating executed on behalf of Federal government of Germany. His current focus is on ACCELERATING Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic systems and developing cost effective recycling solutions of Solar panels at the end of their life. He was one of the few invited by European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference to present paper on India’s roadmap for circularity in Solar panels at the end of life.
